Payment by bank transfer is preferred. Other methods are considered if a bank transfer isn’t possible for you, please ask when you get in touch.
Photo restoration
Because every photo is unique, I quote individually based on its condition and the level of restoration required. A minimum charge of £25 applies to all restoration work. As a rough guide:
Basic restoration – from £25. Colourising, repair minor fading, light retouching.
Moderate restoration – from £50. Colourising, repair moderate fading, repair small tears, stains, or scratches.
Extensive restoration – from £75. Colourising, repair severe damage, repair missing areas, complex detail.
Photo printing

The prices below include printing on premium photo paper and postage in a protective envelope using Royal Mail 2nd class service. Prices are in addition to the quoted restoration price.

Pricing is the same across all types of tape. This includes VHS, VHS-C, Video8, Hi8, Digital8, MiniDV and single layer DVDs.

Tape clean due to mould damage or sticky tape before transfer: From £15 per tape.

Up to 5 miles one-way (20 miles total): £10
Up to 10 miles one-way (40 miles total): £20

Up to 20 miles one-way (80 miles total): £40
A minimum charge of £10 applies. This service ensures your tapes and photos are handled carefully while saving you the uncertainty of putting your precious memories in the post. Your precious tapes and photos stay with me at all times, at no point in the the process do they get sent away to a third party for processing.

Payment terms for tape and 8mm cine film transfer
All tape transfer work is priced clearly and agreed in advance wherever possible.
For most jobs, a 50% deposit is required when tapes are collected or received by post. This covers setup, assessment, and transfer time. The remaining balance is payable once the digitisation is complete, before collection or return.
For small jobs (such as one or two tapes), full payment may be requested upfront.
For larger or uncertain jobs, I’ll always assess the tapes first and confirm what’s viable before proceeding with the full transfer.
No work will be carried out without your approval.
